Deacon-in-charge * Open church building no later that 9:00 A.M. on Sabbath morning.
  - Unlock doors: north entrance, narthex, sanctuary and S.S. classrooms. DO NOT unlock old north-wing narthex doors.
  - Turn on lights: hallways, narthex, sanctuary.
  - Turn on heat: hallways, youth room, Shelley's class room, east-wing restroom.
  - For potluck (1st and 3rd Sabbath ea. month) set up all round tables w/ chairs in Fellowship Hall.
  - Set up fireside room for Sabbath School class: 20 chairs in a circle, extend partition between fireside room and narthex.
* Open doors and windows as necessary in hot weather.
* Open high school lot gate and set out overflow parking signs.
*
Lock the north educational wing door from 11 a.m. through the end of the worship service.
* Assemble Deacons and assign locations for offering collection.
* Assign (2) Deacons microphones for "Sharing Time".
* Count offering with another Deacon, document and deposit money bag into the safe.
* After service, pick up papers in sanctuary and organize hymnals & Bibles in racks.
* Turn off sanctuary lights and lock sanctuary doors.
* Close and lock all exterior doors and windows.
  - Stack chairs in fireside room and close partition.
  - Turn off all heat and lights.
* If you cannot be present, get a substitute and inform the Head Deacon.
Deacons / Offering * Meet at the rear of the sanctuary before announcements begin.
* If you can't be present, get a substitute and inform the Deacon-in-charge.
Communion * When Communion occurs, the Deacon Team of that month is responsible for setting up for footwashing, serving in the Men/Family areas, serving in the Sanctuary and putting away all of the footwashing articles.
